How did I get here again? Well, in reality I didn't let it go too far before jumping back on the healthy train. I was extremely successful on my first attempt so I shouldn't have any problems doing it again, right? The problem is what I am sure will be a shock to all of you: lack of exercise and bad eating habits! No one here knows what I am talking about! :-P I have been putting other things ahead of my health as if anything should be more importantEow can you take care of all of your responsibilities if you can't take care of yourself? The great news is that I have control to modify my situation. Here is my new motto:

Now all I need is a good theme song. One I mentally hear as I am walking down hallways and corridors. You all knowEike Saturday Night Fever. Stayin' Aliiiiiiive!!!!! That's actually a good one since that it is why we are all here. To stay alive, or at least be the most fit while we are alive.

I am starting off again at 161 and want to get down to a healthy 147. I know what you are thinking, that is such an arbitrary number. Not really. 150 = a bit too big and 145 = a bit too small. That simple.

What you really came here for. Come on, sing along!

Fitness Minutes: 4,095

My Goals:
Fresh New Goals

1. Eating Clean! I know it is difficult to do this 100% of the time, but I can certainly accomplish this about 50% of the time and slowly build up to at least 75% of the day

2. Don't use the weekend as an excuse to go all Willy-Nilly! Control portions and content of food regardless of the day and environment.

3. Stop ignoring weight training. I know that the results are fantabulous, so I will stop making excuses. I will be like Nike and "Just Do It"

4. I would like to lose about 13 or 14 lbs.

5. I will encourage someone else to start living a healthier lifestyle based on my results.


My Program:
Food:
I am going clean people! Lean meats and poultry, seafood, and fresh fruits and veggies. I will not always go for coffee in the morning. Sometimes I will sub for green tea or something of the sort. I can't give up coffee, at least not yet. Small steps, young grasshopper! I am already loving whole wheat anything but I need to incorporate more of it in my diet. The main thing will be planning, planning, planning. Cooking 3-4 meals at once and preparing what I will eat for the next day. Also, if I know I will be eating out, I will visit the restaurant's website to pick out a healthy meal beforehand.
Exercise:
I will continue to work out 5 days a week but I need to mix it up a bit.
2 days of weight training including my arms, abs, and legs (I will move this up to 3 days when I can manage 2 days with no problem)
3 days of low impact aerobics (2 days will be the same days as weight training)
2 days of high impact aerobics. This will jar my body into r

I love football and my favorite NFL team is the Pittsburgh Steelers (where I am originally from). My personal belief is that Fall is not a season, Football is! I hope to lose a few pounds before the season begins and maintain that loss throughout with the support of everyone on this site. I tried to encourage friends and family to join me in this battle of the bulge but to no avail. So I thought, why don't I find people who are already soldiers in this war! My sister suggested I come to this site and I already love it!

    Had to add you as a friend. You are just too funny and cute! Don't change your goal, I think your goal is rigth where it needs to be. Changing it can be demoralizing when it doesn't come off like it did before, but that is just me. I tried like the dicken's to get under 146 but I haven't been successful. Fighting body type and I am at about my high school weight so why go lower?

    And yep, I was supposed to start Level 2 this wk of Shred but my DVD was acting up, so had to use Level 1 from ondemand, but will start Level 2 tomorrow. Looking forward to the change. And yes ma'am, I'm definitely wishing you luck on Level 3...she loves those darn planks!!!
