Losing it for Life!

Hi y'all! I'm a Southern girl, born and raised in Mississippi. As most of you know, Mississippi is the fattest state around and well, I was one of the obese statistics! I'm hoping to be in the 5% of people who lose weight and keep it off. So far I'm hanging in there. I've managed to maintain an 83 lb weight loss since October 2011, all with no fad diets, magic shakes, or wacky workout programs. Just good old-fashioned calorie counting and exercising. :) I try to maintain my weight ...

I lost 55 lbs with Weight Watchers and over 25 with Spark. Now that I've reached my goal weight, I'm focusing on getting healthier and stronger. Running is my passion and so far I've run 2 5k's, 3 10k's, 2 half marathons and 3 full marathons. My favorite is the half marathon. To me it's the perfect distance! :)

My Goals:
Maintain my weight between 128-132.

Continue to run 4 days per week.

Strength train 3 days per week.



My Program:
*DIET - I followed Weight Watchers for the first 6 months and lost 55 lbs. However, I hit a plateau, which led me to Spark People. With SP, I've lost over 25 lbs. I've been maintaining my weight for over 2 years now.
* EXERCISE - Running is my exercise of choice! :) I run 4 days a week, strength train 2 or 3 days per week, and cross train a couple of days per week. Cross training consists of boot camp, kickboxing, and circuit training.

Hi, I'm Cristina and I'm 35 years old. I've been married to my husband Ryan for 11 years. We have two little boys, an 8 year old and a 4 year old. I've been battling my weight for many, many years. I'm the definition of a yo-yo dieter. This time has been different, though. I've lost over 80 pounds and so far have been successful at keeping it off.

Other Information:
I love to run!! I also love shopping (hehe), reading, and playing on the 'net.

Hi Crissy!! Girl, anyone who has just ran a marathon deserves some off time! You amaze me with your running prowess. I can't even imagine a whole marathon. What a huge accomplishment (and for you, multiple times, right??).
The holidays are to enjoy and a few extra pounds are deserved (though still frustrating, I'm sure). You'll have it back off in no time.
I will come visit the board soon. I would love to see how everyone is doing.
I am crossing fingers I can run a Half in March, though my training is on hold right now (haven't run in almost 3 weeks). I have some sort of weird bladder/kidney thing that is making other plans for me right now. Hopefully after my appt on Jan 23rd, I will have a better idea of what I am doing. If not a Half in March, then definitely later in the year!
