2012 Fitness on a positive swing

In 2011 I fell off the fitness wagon and it ran over me several times. It took me 2 years to lose almost 50 pounds and 1 year to gain 30 of it back.

This year I set only 1 goal to keep track of and that is miles. I will log 365 miles by the end of this year. I figured if I only had one New Years resolution to focus on, I would have a better shot at accomplishing it. This is a goal that will help not only trim my waistline, but also that of our beagles.

Although that is my only New Years resolution, that is not all I am going to do this year. I am going on a financial diet. A big part of that is cooking my own food. That gives me control of my sodium and caloric intake. I am also going to get my Dance Central and Blackeyed Pea experience dance on with my daughter on a regular basis. It is goo gobs of fun, and I always break a sweat.

My Goals:
I have a new short term goal of going from an XL shirt to a Large. As extra motivation, I have registered for my July family reunion with a size large shirt.

My Program:
I have recently joined 24 hour fitness near my house. I have to go 12 times a month. If I do not make that goal of 12 times, for each day short I am, I have to attend a spinning class. I hate spinning.

How did your week go? I did not get in as much exercise as planned, only 2 true workouts, and 1 day walking/shopping last week. I promise to get in 4-5 workouts this weekend: Monday - 5:15 am Turbo Fire, Tuesday - 5:45 pm Zumba, Wednesday - 5:30 pm Zumba, Thursday - 5:15 am Turbo Fire, Friday - 5:15 am Turbo Fire. I would like to get in a 5:45 pm Body Pump class on Monday evening, too - but it truly depends on how my Monday at work goes...no promises there.

When are you scheduling your workouts this week? Any new healthy recipes to recommend?
