Ready to start again!

I've been off of SP for a while now and let me tell you... this program works. When you stick to it! I told myself too many times that Spark Guy won't know I snuck that pizza and frozen yogurt is okay to have for dinner. Now I'm trying to lose the 23 pounds I gained back with that kind of thinking.

My Goals:
I had surgery and need to get my butt back in gear. I'm more focused on eating right and getting in shape more than losing weight this time!

My Program:
Martial arts 2x a week, walking every day, and eating right!

Personal Information:
I am 34, happily married, and have two boys, 14 and 10. We do martial arts together, which I think is pretty cool. I dislike fast food with a passion, but I'm a sucker for a good pizza or burrito.

So we're both starting back on Sparkpeople after falling off the wagon....and we both have Goldens....AND we're both starting at 222lbs.

Woah.

Lol... at least you are back and ready to take on the challenge, rather than doing nothing and sulking about your problems.
Way to go!

Thanks for the SparkGoodie! I'm glad my words helped.

I'm especially glad you took them in the spirit they were meant. I tried hard to make sure I didn't come across is mean, but sometimes stuff doesn't come across right.

So thank YOU for writing to tell me how they helped.

Hey Cricket! My son does Tae Kwon Do too. He just tested for his red belt on Saturday. He'll probably get it at class tonight. How far are your kids? I think it's great for them. Teaches them self control and self defense.

Hey Cricket!

It's awesome that you've gotten your whole family into martial arts. My husband is about to get his purple belt and out oldest daughter is starting to get into it too. Our two youngest are still too little, but I can't wait until we can all be in together. Do you compete?

PS -- Dodge ball is a great idea ... throwing a rubber ball at your kids sounds like some of the best therapy going! LOL!
