Healthy for life

Hello, my name is Cricket and as a 40-something I'm not doing too badly in the fitness area. I started Jazzercise a couple of years ago and have since become an instructor. I lost 20 pounds and feel I am at my 'happy' weight. Where I struggle is with nutrition and eating healthy. I want to find ways to make positive changes that will help my whole family eat and live healthier.

Hello and emoticon to Sparkpeople.com,

I'm pretty new at this myself, but wanted to let you know that it's o.k. to just jump right in and play, i.e. "click. click. click". It's how I have been learning my way around. So far I have encountered only splendid, encouraging and helpful people. Stop by and say hello. I hope you try isometric exercise, it's perfect for adults with mobility issues, chronic pain, have been sedentary for a while, or who tire easily. Yet even if you're at the top of your game, isometrics can give you the added edge towards meeting your goals, even if that is finishing a triathlon! emoticon
