Cricket's Corner

My great grandmother nicknamed me Cricket as a baby and it has stuck ever since. I live in Minneapoilis, MN. I am single and do not have any children. While this was certainly not the plan, I have come to a place in my life where if it happens that's great. If not, THAT's OK TOO. Three of the most liberating words in the english language for me. I have struggled with my weight all of my life and have tried every program out there. This time it's going to work. It has to work.

I totally hear you. Since Aug 2005 I've lost 9 pets, 2 jobs and my dad (and 54 lbs). I exercise an hour a day...sounds like a lot...but I'm unemployed and could do so much more. Yesterday a friend of mine died. On Sunday a pet I had for 21 years died. I feel punished. I am eating right and exercising and no weight comes off. I was doing so good and now WHAM! Slapped down into the mud.

May you love living every day even in spark moves. May your heart be ready for the breath taking return of Jesus.

Hi Cricket - I came across your post on Louisa's page. I'm Stephanie from PA. I just wanted to say that walking two hours is a sure way to get in those size 10 jeans. I wish I had more time to exercise. I do the best that I can with the time that I can and I am seeing the results. Welcome to SP (I know I'm a little late). I hope you are enjoying it here.

When I was growing up there was a girl (my age) named Cricket that used to visit her grandmother when I was at my best friend's house. I don't think I've run into anyone with that name until I saw your page.

Keep on walking and have a wonderful weekend.

Stephanie
