My Goals:
My goal is to reach 220 pounds IN NO PARTICULAR TIME FRAME. So far from July 1st to Sept 5, 2015 I have lost 35 pounds. ..........................................



I started this weight loss and health journey on July 1st, 2015 at 350 life sapping pounds.
My 1st Short Term Goal was to break the 319 pounds mark. Did that on Aug. 29th. BEEN HERE AND DONE THIS!!!THAT means I have LESS THAN 100 pounds to go.
WOOHOO!!

NEXT SHORT TERM GOAL.
To be at 299 pounds by Oct. 6th, 2015. That will be my 50 pound loss mark.



(I will be adding another short term goal as soon!)



Although my ultimate goal is 220, I told my wife if I decide to go on and reach 200 pounds I would reward myself with a new Harley.

My Program:
My weight loss so far has just consisted of being more concious of what I eat and better portion sizes. Along with working out on my treadmill and Gazelle which I enjoy. I had knee surgery twice and this has been low impact on the knees. Also part of my weight loss program is to drink AT LEAST 8 glasses of water a day and lay off the soda (plain or diet) and any alcohol except for an occassional glass of vino. LEARNING HOW to decline food is a real effort. I try not to eat emotional food, celebratory food, food just because it's "time" to eat. I try just to eat only when I get hungry. REFUSE to eat food for "comfort". I now consume less pizza, less beer, less chocolate, and definately less "fast food". NO..... I don't want it "Supersized" I DID THAT TO MYSELF ALREADY. NOW I WILL "UNDO" IT!

I enjoy my old 1941 Chevy coupe, my motorcycle, wood working and my own free time. Which I don't get enough of.

Other Information:
Favorite Books I've read recently.
"Stop Digging Your Grave With a Knife and Fork" by Gov. Mike Huckabee of Ark.
I read this one several times and highlighted items the second time I read it. Great advice in this book. I WILL RE-READ it again! I guess you could say it's kind of my weight loss bible.

I also enjoy some TV shows other than sports and they are American Ninja Warrior. Mostly because I watch these people do the obstacle courses and wish I could be able to do that stuff again. Sometimes I watch Extreme Weight Loss but find that show a little too sensationalizing. I feel good for the people who lose the weight though and only aspire to do what most of them have done to reverse their obesity. I'm working hard on it.

I say the fact that you are still under the 300 lb. mark gives you a win. Some weeks are like that. Make sure you are walking, and your weight will continue to come off.

You are doing great and you know you are!!

I had to ask what NSVs were too....I could not figure it out :)

Non-Scale Victories.

For example, having to really belt your way-too-loose pants!!
