Let it Go

Other than the title I am a 37 year old woman who is trying to change her view on food as well as the entire journey that is life. It's not an easy thing to do after years of living a certain way, but it is possible. One of my biggest beliefs is that any form of change is difficult, painful, but in the end ultimately worth the effort. Without change there's stagnation and being stagnant is tiring if effortless.

My Goals:
Control the amount of HFCS and MSG that is in my diet. - So far I've managed to cut nearly all of it out.

Lose weight and maintain a healthy lifestyle. How fast doesn't matter so long as it does happen.

See my goals met and in doing so become more optimistic about life.

My Program:
Talk to friends and family on a daily basis about my goals to keep myself honest.

Log onto Sparkpeople daily to keep motivated. This includes blogging so as to hold myself accountable.

Work out 60 minutes a day Monday, Wednesday and Friday for strength training. Work out 90 a day Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday on aerobics. Saturday is my day of rest.

I am working on 10,000 steps a day as another part of my overall goals. Once I reach 21 days it should be a habit.

Right now I'm focusing on using my Will Fit Plus for cardio workouts. I have added in exercise ball and resistance band dvds for strength training, but I still use my Wii Fit Plus for that on occasion too.

I intend to eventually work up to an hour a day for six days a week and then reassess once I'm at that level.

Personal Information:
I am a happily married 37 year old woman who enjoys table-top RPGs, certain video games, reading, animals, and am always trying to do a little more to be more "green". I'm not perfect and I am trying to teach myself that it's okay if I fail as long as I keep trying.

Other Information:
