Lose It For Good and Forever

2011/11/04 -- this is me starting over. The last 10 months have not been my finest. I broke my arm, quit WW's, all but stopped working out and gained 20 lbs.!! Well, NO MORE. It's time to give my head a shake, to pull my head out of the sand and do what it takes to get back in shape and healthy. And I will!

My weight loss journey is now in it's 4th year and so far I've lost 61 lbs. with Weight Watchers and Exercise. The last year and a half has been brutal for weight loss but excellent for activity. I haven't lost any weight but did maintain AND I did my first 1/2 marathon in 2009. That was such a huge accomplishment for me.

The Spark community has really helped me keep focused and on track. I've made only a few friends on here, but they are the best! And everyone else has been so supportive too. The first couple of years I was doing it was my friend, but she quit. It would have been so easy for me to quit too. But I didn't. I worked out even more at the gym and stayed focus. Thanks to this community I never felt like I was doing this alone.

But I know I'm still not at my weight goal and this will be the year that that happens. I've proven to myself that I can maintain a weight loss, so now I got to get to my goal, which is only 10 lbs away, and do what I've been doing to maintain it!

"Whenever you make a mistake or get knocked down by life, don't look back at it too long.
Mistakes are life's way of teaching you. Your capacity for occasional blunders is inseparable from your capacity to reach your goals.
No one wins them all, and your failures, when they happen, are just part of your growth. Shake off your blunders.
How will you know your limits without an occasional failure? Never quit. Your turn will come."
-Og Mandino

"Three of the most powerful words in the English language are 'I AM RESPONSIBLE.' It's tough to do, but when the day comes that you can say those words, believe them, and mean them, it will be the most liberating moment of your life. Taking responsibility for all of your results, for better or for worse, is taking back your power to create results in your life."
-Tom Venuto

"Just because we are knocked down does not mean that we are out.
We still have breath in our lungs and tears flowing down - all signs that we are alive!
Take a deep breath and be reminded that often our biggest struggles are stepping stones to our greatest victories."

Hope all went well yesterday...you're in my thoughts more than you now.

I bought a Fitbit Zip...and it's great. I'm much more active & trying to please the little smiley guy! Even dodged a fatal bullet at dinner tonight trying to duck huge calories which were calling my name at a restaurant!

Thanks so much for your encouragement. I want to support you as much as you support me!

Thinking of you every day....and sending my friendship! Only a couple of days until your appt...and I hope answers are not too far beyond that! I started the Fitbit today & am so grateful for your endorsement! I think it'll help. Now I just need a lock on my lips (so I don't eat!). If you find a device like that, send me immediately! lol

Hugs & warm thoughts!
