My Goals:

My Program:
I have recently had Lap Band surgery. It is one of my greatest wishes for food to no longer control me. Most of this struggle is emotional but I AM going to conquer it!

Other Information:
Most importantly, Jesus is my savior. Without Him, I am NOTHING! I have 4 kids (1 still at home). I have a wonderful husband and parents that live with me. I homeschool my daughter who is 8. I love Gone With the Wind and goats!

You're right Rhonda. I have the rest of my life. It is hard not to focus on each 24 hour period and beat ourselves up for bad decisions. I know exactly why I put on the weight. It's not rocket science. I ate more and moved less. So...there you have it - an 8 lb weight gain. It's a lifestyle that I've got to embrace. I WILL lose it for sure. I'm already down to 133 this morning. Still, makes me nuts.

Hi Rhonda! I just read what you posted about your fill. You can do it. I know it must be rough at first after a fill but you will soon adjust to the change.
I think its interesting how you have to eat alone without any inturruption/distraction. I am the complete opposite. I have to eat while watching tv, being on the computer, or at the table with my family. I need the distraction to help me space out my bites. Otherwise, I get in too big of a hurry and then you know what happens.

Ok guys, here is the update. Had a fill yesterday. I had had 3.5 cc's in. My Dr. told me he would add another 1cc this time. He said optimal place will most likely be between 6-7.

I saw a different Dr. I told him that. He thought it was a lot. I said please go ahead and put 1.5 cc's in there is little slowing me down. He did (That puts me at 5 cc's now) but made me drink a whole water before I left so he could be sure. It was slow but worked. I have been back to full liquid for two days. That is about all getting through anyway right now. It sure seems to have made a big difference. It am sure it is not overdone but it is certainly limiting.

Now I seemed to get used to the other in time so not sure what will happen this time. I can eat cottage cheese (I even had a few chips) but the Breakstones is too thick. It gets stuck. I need something thinner. I did eat scrambled eggs with cheese last night at Denny's. Slow, Small and Chew thoroughly. As long as I can follow those guidelines I am ok. I find at home I will take my meal to my bedroom a lot of times or I just quit. I can not eat while people are trying to converse me very well. I forget and swallow too soon. I also can not do anything else while eating. I must focus. Funny huh?

I hope to see more progress now because I am getting a bit discouraged over the whole deal. Thought I would share the news with you guys.

Hey! Just wanted to say hello and check in with you! How are things going??? I have gained weight somehow, but have exercised every day and eaten on plan every day. Oh, well. I'm counting down the days til my free day, Sunday!!! :)

How can fruits and veggies make ANYONE gain weight? I can see perhaps A LOT of fruit but veggies????? I understand though - you have worked too hard. What a life peanut butter and protein bars but no Brussels sprouts please! emoticon
