Losing it for the LAST time

I've been down the "losing" road before--one I don't want to travel again!! I've actually found that the dieting part is the easy part--I've done that PLENTY of times. Keeping the weight off has proved to be the hard part. I've always been a "lone wolf" in regard to my dieting attempts. Now I'd like to join this group of like minded motivated people to help me make this attempt my LAST attempt.

My Goals:
MAINTAIN my 130 pound loss--the part of the weight loss plan that has always eluded me in the past.
Eat mindfully and choose more healthful choices.
Become more active--Yoga for the old and infirm (my name for my new fitness video) is a start.

My Program:
Joined Slim 4 Life last February after losing 50 pounds. I've lost 80 pounds more in the last year on the program. I still have the technically "overweight" label, but am thrilled and satisfied with my progress.

Personal Information:
I live in Lansing, KS. I teach 4th and 5th grade at risk reading and math at a small school district. I have a wonderful husband (although he just LOVES buffets--a dieter's downfall) and 4 spoiled cats. We love to travel and take a couple trips to Mexico each year and a road trip or two.

Thanks for the blog comment. I don't think I'd have much luck "planning" binges..they usually stem from emotional eating. If it works, though, go for it.

Thank you for your comment on my latest blog. It's a common notion among all of us, I think. When we're struggling with our weight, we tend to think we're the only ones and everybody else is successfully maintaining! As you correctly pointed out..., human nature!
