Hmmm, where to start.
I am too old to tell you my age, nah.......i will be 53 my next birthday.
I am married to my wonderful hubby, Al. This last April 3, we celebrated 27 years together. A blink of an eye.
We have two wonderful kids, Mark (24) and Sarah (19).
We live in southern Maine. I work as an RN in a skilled nursing facility just over the line in NH. I can't believe i've been there over 22 years. Time flies.
I'm a diabetic on insulin. I've joined spark to get some support and as a place to track my progress. Hope to meet some great new folks along the way.
1. lose 5 lbs/month

3. Enter my cardio when i do it! that way i don't forget anything.

5. Enter my nutrition everyday.

I've taken up a walk a day. 15 minutes right now. not miles or such. I have a messed up ankle (years ago climbing mount washington) and a messed up back (4 years ago at work), so am pretty limited in what i can do.
1/13/08 Thinking of trying one of those exercise balls. See if i can keep my balance. We'll see.
Originally from NYC, moved to Mass as a kid, married and moved to Maine.
Married 25 years April 2007 to my wonderful Hubby, Al, Two fabulous kids, Mark and Sarah, a great job! Church! Scouts! God! Family! What more could I ask except to have better health.
"When Things Go Wrong"
When things go wrong as they sometimes will,
When the road you are trudging seems all uphill,
When the funds are low and the debts are high,
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit,
Rest, if you must, but do not quit.
Life is queer with its twists and turns,
As everyone of us sometimes learns,
And many a failure turns about,
When he might have won had he stuck it out.
Don't give up though the pace seems slow -
You may succeed with another blow.
Success is failure turned inside out,
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt.
And you never can tell how close you are,
It may be near when it seems so far.
So stick to the fight when you're hardest hit -
It's when things seem worst that you must not quit.
