I cannot quit this time!

Seems like everytime I get really rolling on a diet/exercise program, I quit. I have plenty of excuses- "I'm too busy", "my family needs my time", "my husband misses me...." It's all hooey. I quit because I start getting compliments and get complacent. Just one time, I want to reach my goal..... Just one time....

My Goals:
My goal is to be healthy! For so long it was "to be skinny". No more! Skinny doesn't equate health. It doesn't equate fitness. It doesn't equate quality of life! I want to have a long happy life being the BEST me I can possibly be!!

My Program:
I love spin class! I try to do some type of cardio for 30-45 min. 3-4 days a week. I'm going to start strength training this week as well. Maybe I'll throw in a day or two of yoga for good measure!

Personal Information:
I am a very busy mother of two. I have a very supportive and wonderful husband, whom I met in high school. I own my own American Heart Association CPR training center which allows me the flexibility to work from home.
I am a Christian and know that Jesus Christ died for me.

Other Information:
I have a disease called Hashimoto's Thyroiditis, which causes my thyroid to be underactive. Losing weight is a MAJOR challenge. It gets frustrating when you are doing everything right and still can't lose weight!

Hi! I just wanted to say that it sounds like your dilemmas are similar to mine. (and your starting and goal weights too!) I always start out strong, then it takes WAY longer than I expected, or I get too lax when people notice that I'm looking slimmer, or I listen when loved ones say "Oh honey you look fine you don't need to change a thing!" or I just let myself believe my body just wants to be 154, that that's my "happy weight." It's tough to keep going when the weight comes off soooooooo slow, but hang in there, don't give up, and know that you aren't alone! emoticon
