    Shell,

It has been a long time!!! I am so glad to hear that you are doing well. I had my surgery for the same reasons and I do not regret it a bit. Believe me, this is not the easy way out at all. It is not a magic wand that erases the fat, it is your hard work and effort that will get you through. It has been been since November 2008 when I had my surgery and I have gained a little back, but nothing to where I was before and most importantly my health issues are still under good control. Be proud of yourself and what you have accomplished!

Shell, I decided to have the surgery because of my health issues of the diabetes, cholesterol problems, high blood pressure and sleep apnea. Since having the surgery, I am off all medications and CPAP machine and my blood work is back to normal. I am so glad that I went through the process to have the surgery. I do not regret it at all. It was the best thing that I could have done for myself. I am sorry to hear that things are so rough for you following your surgery and that your doctor is not very sympathetic to your needs. I do hope that things get better for you soon. Take care!

Hi Shell!! It was so nice to see I had a note from you. I haven't been active on the site in a long time, but I have been on my own journey since I had gastric bypass surgery a year ago. I am down to about 175 and would like to lose about 25 pounds if possible, although now the weight is a lot harder to get off. I have to get back in gear and get back to exercising more regularly. I am glad to hear that you are back and hope that you are doing well after your surgery. Take care and I hope to hear from you soon!

Shell, I gave a lady at work your peanut butter cookie recipe, as she has to have everythng gluten free. She made them and brought some in. They are SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO GOOD! Her whole family loves them too and she made five batches over the weekend. ~ Martha
