My Goals:
To first lose 50 pounds.

To be able to go swimming and NOT be embarassed.

To be able to wear shorts again and not be embarassed.

For people to say "hey have you lost weight".

To fit in a size 12 jeans , and throw the 18's away forever.

To get a "family" picture taken because I WILL WANT TO and NOT put it off b/c I'm TOO FAT and won't allow my picture taken.

My Program:
Watching carbs and fat and drinking the water. Have not started to exercise yet, I need to drop a bit of weight first.

Personal Information:
I'm from Michigan where we get all 4 true seasons. I love it here!
I have 4 biological kids a boy 23, girl 18, boy 10 and girl 9. I have a step-son soon to be 25 and another step son that was killed 3 years ago this past semptember, he would have been almost 27.
I also have a grandson whom is 3 years old.
I have a great hubby (second marriage) we've been together for 14 years.
I love animals.. I have 3 saint bernards, 3 cats, have had many bunnies and the list just keeps growing.

Other Information:
I am a christian, although I have a habit of straying (not bad) but I sometimes say things (swear) that GOD and JESUS would ground me for.
They are good and they forgive me.
God has given me a WONDERFUL life and a WONDERFUL family. I thank God DAILY!

Hi! Wow! how time flies when we're having fun!

I've been really busy and enjoying the festivities of the Easter season (which is my favorite holiday by the way) and now I'm about to get ready for some over night company that will be here in the early afternoon tomorrow then we will be getting ready to go to the coast for some fun and relaxation. When the sun comes out...I go out! It's great!

How about you? Have you been busy or are you getting ready for BBQ season/summer which will be upon us very soon now!

I read that persimmons have high levels of fiber, potassium, magnesium, calcium and antioxidants which are all super weapons against atherosclerosis! Who knew?

Have a great week and a great Mother's Day on the 8th!

I just read a cure for bad Mondays!

It said that when you're feeling groggy or foggy to sniff ground
sage for an energy boost. Research showed that sage aroma
suppresses the enzyme acetylcholinesterase that prevents the
brain's ability to feel alert and happy! Not only that, but aromatherapy
experts say sage can improve mental focus AND memory!

My personal suggestion is...fresh ground or a good brand of coarse
ground sage. The cheap stuff is very offensive to my nose.

emoticon Hello again, I'm back to see how you are doing and to let you know I'm thinking of you.

Ever wonder what people 'used' to do to get rid of dandruff? Me either, but I'm going to share it with you anyways! LOL
I myself used this formula to lighten my hair, but now that I'm older, I find I already have light hair! LOL

They used a natural rinse made from 3 tablespoons of vinegar or lemon juice and a cup of water or massaged salt all over the scalp before shampooing!

Hi, it's been a while since I've stopped by your page to check on you so I thought I'd take a quick moment; how are things going for you?

I read somewhere that one lady stacked empty butter cartons on top of each other as she lost the weight so that she could see what it looked like. Now I picture every pound of my excess weight as a brick of butter; which is also pure fat. So any weight I lose, I mentally stack in the corner of my mind to remind me what it looks like.

Hey... Keep reminding yourself how hard you worked and that you deserve to lose for your efforts; and by all means, keep on keeping on!

Hi!

I'm just passing through this time with this strange bit of trivia...

You're not going to believe this, but I just read that chewing gum is a brain booster! Seriously! The Researchers at Northwestern University found that people who chew gum have increased blood flow to the brain and an increase in cognitive performance. Moreover, people who chew gum have less stress, which protects brain cells from stress related hormones. The researchers recommended chewing gum particularly when you have challenging mental work to do.
