I have been overweight since I was 15. Now at age 25, I am a new mom to an amazing little boy and I don't want to be overweight anymore. I have lost just over 50 pounds since I gave birth and have about 50 more to lose! I want to be fit for not only my family, but for myself!

What a sweet smile you have!

Just wanted to offer you up a welcome to the Strong is the New Skinny team. I just became the new team leader, today, so I'm trying to catch up with any new joiners. Hope it wasn't too terribly long ago, that you joined the team.

Anyway, I wanted to let you know, that it's impressive that you realize just how important muscle is, as we lose weight. You have done wonderful, thus far! And congrats on that new baby!!

I noticed your status (as of 6 days ago) about "trying to stay positive". Weight loss is difficult, and the progress may seem slow, but you WILL get to the goals you have set forth for yourself.

I've lost 75 pounds, myself, so I do what it is like to see the long road you're on. But something that worked great, was that I broke my weight loss into 10 pound targets, instead of just keeping my eye on the (long away) final target. So each time you make that smaller goal, you reward yourself with a little something (like a new shirt) and then move onto the next 10.

In no time...You'll be there!! emoticon
