Getting my Second Wind........

Reason I want to lose weight: I am tired being the fat sister, cousin, daughter etc...... It is time for me to stop giving up. But for the first time in a long time I am understanding what I need to do and actually doing it. I finally understand that I may have set backs but that is not an excuse to give up anymore. No matter what I am not giving ...

Reason I want to lose weight: I am tired being the fat sister, cousin, daughter etc...... It is time for me to stop giving up. But for the first time in a long time I am understanding what I need to do and actually doing it. I finally understand that I may have set backs but that is not an excuse to give up anymore. No matter what I am not giving up.

I am also learning to take things one day at a time. And also through prayer and meditation.

I am not really going by weight. It changes throughout the day a little to much, and we all lose inches faster than weight. So that is what matter most to me right now, plus my scale is broken. LOL. But I post my weight peroidically. But I will post my inches every month.

UPDATE:

My ever so loving b/f bought me a scale. Isn't that NICE! (Sarcasm of course). But he said that my choosing to not go by weight is letting the scale defeat me and that I need to face reality and accept that I may not like what the scale says but I must face it. So with that being said I am going to start tracking my weight too. All thanks to him. LOL

My current program is the C25k. I am participating in the Susan Komen Race for the Cure on March 20, 2010. I will be doing the run/walk. I was not prepared for the actual race (didn't want to come in last) LOL. But I don't want to walk the whole thing either.

Also on the days that I don't do my C25k (I love saying that), I will weight train and /or go to Curves (haven't been there in about a month or 2, I lost count).

I am going to post my starting inches for my current program and then when I complete this program, I am going to display my results.

***Update***

My boyfriend has decided to take a contract job out of the country (Australlia). He will be gone for 1 year and I will not get to see him for the whole year :(. By the time he returns I would like to have lost at least 100 pounds. So I will have to up my training plan and get really serious.

My Goals:
I would like to lose about 100 pounds. I also need to become more physically active, not just exercise but becoming active for fun (hiking, bike riding, etc...). My most important goal is to develope healthier eating habits.

My Program:
1. Drink 64-72oz's of water per day.

2. Eat lowfat/low cal food.

3. Cardio 6x's a week and strength training 4x's a week.
Consisting of Curves 30 minute workout, treadmill. exercise vids and free weights.

4. At least 8 hours a sleep a night.

Hey Luv!! Thanks for spreading your oh so FABULOUS SPARK my way. Things are going FAB here. Just taking each day as it comes and making it COUNT for my GOALS! This month has been a great month. My workouts have been on target and my food choices been good. Right now I'm just trying to build muscle and get rid of my flab on my tummy!! LOL! But yeah I can't complain.. just be thankful. This journey has been a tough one but the results make it all worth it. WOOHOO! I hope your journey has been going good. Remember that your not alone you have your sistah right here CHEERING you on. Hey just wanted to comment on the scale issue. I am going through a weight loss study and one of the things we learned was to make peace with the scale. That you will have a range you will fall into and don't beat yourself up. They also have us weigh at the same time everyday and only once a day. Otherwise you are be hyper-vigilant and the goal is a relax awareness.

Don't know if this helps you, but it has helped me.
