Time to Get Serious
Hey All, I'm a 27 year old woman with 50lbs to lose. I'm in a "Biggest Loser" style competition right now and have decided to try out SparkPeople for extra tips and motivation to help me reach my goals. I've been "trying" to lose weight for a little while now but as soon as I lose a couple of pounds I tend to not take my weight loss very seriously anymore. Hey All, I'm a 27 year old woman with 50lbs to lose. I'm in a "Biggest Loser" style competition right now and have decided to try out SparkPeople for extra tips and motivation to help me reach my goals. I've been "trying" to lose weight for a little while now but as soon as I lose a couple of pounds I tend to not take my weight loss very seriously anymore. Suddenly it's not that bad if I miss one workout or over indulge in food. This time's different. I'm going to be a lot more strict with myself. I WILL track my food intake and I WILL exercise a minimum of 5 times per week.

My Goals:
To lose 50 lbs by the end of 2011.
My Program:
So far my plan is to exercise a minimum of 5 times per week for at least 45 minutes by doing a combination of jogging/walking. I'm also tracking my calories and am going to stick between a range of 1500 to 1800 calories per day. I've added a little bit of strength training to my usual routine. 100 sit-ups and 30 push ups 3 times per week.

27 year old woman from Canada, married to my best friend. We've got a dog and a cat but no kids...yet.
