Before the game
After the game. Serves me right for trying to pick off my (at the time) future father-in-law
Coaching soccer back in high school. I lost the bet!!! but it was good motivation for the team.
I'm a member of the great SP tech team. Started off as a computer engineering Co-op student with them and then was hired on full time after graduation in spring of '06.
I've been with SP since spring of '03 and I have loved every bit of it.
I love the outdoors, especially paintballing, 4x4ing (truck or quads), soccer, and softball. There isn't a weekend that goes by that I am not doing at least one of the four, if not all four.
Since meeting my better half in March of 2001, we got engaged December 2007 and got married April 2008. In December 2011, my wife and I welcomed our first child into the world. He is the first grandchild on my side of the family and first grandson on her side. Don't think he'll get spoiled at all, lol!!! Our second child, a daughter, was born November 2014.
Not only do I work for SP, but I also run a small Mobile DJ company in the Greater Cinncinnati Area.
I also volunteer in many different ways in high school sports. I'm involved with athletic boosters, high school sports stags and I also announce high school sporting events. I can be heard on a regular basis calling the Oak Hills Varsity Girls Volleyball team.
An update since it's been awhile.
Since I dislocated my foot back on May 27, 2009, I have not been doing anything. As of July 8, I still can not walk without the need of the boot or crutches. I'll most likely have at least 4 more weeks of therapy. Oh JOY!!!!!
Dec 3, 2009 Update - I still am not able to do much since my injury (that is, able to do much without pain). My day to day activities are fine, I just have to take things easy. But the bad news, I do not have enough improvement to start any sporting activities and it is killing me. I am not even able to walk on uneven ground (gravel, sand, mud, or even grass) for more than 100 feet before my ankle starts to remind me that I dislocated the thing.
Jan 1, 2011 Update - The ankle is as good as it's going to get. I've decided to push through the pain and try to get back to my normal self. Obviously I will never be able to play soccer again but I am trying softball. Last season I was the AH but this year I'm going to try and start playing the outfield again. Since not being active for the last two years, I'm going to try and step up my game and return to the strength levels I once had.
