Bye Bye baby fat!!

Hi My name is Karen. I was 34 years old & 190lbs when I started spark in August 06. It is now Sept 12th 2008 and I'm 143lbs. It has taken me a little longer to lose the weight than I had expected but I'm definitely learning things and make lifestyle changes and improvements along the way. I'm now 36 and am really focused on making my life healthier for me and my baby girl. Gotta kick off these pounds and kiss the baby fat GOOD BYE!!

My Goals:
I must say I've done really well in the past year. I weighed 220lbs the day my daughter was born (March3, 2006). When I joined spark in August that year I was about 190. May 2007, I was down to 157.
In October I was down to 135. I realized at that time I could reset my goal and changed it to 125. I was down to about 132 and then crept back up to about 143. I'm down now to 138. Its a struggle but I've totally changed my lifestyle and no longer "diet" anymore. I know I'll get there and I'll be in better shape now at 36 than I've ever been in my life!!

My Program:
When I first started in Aug06, my goal was to walk 30 minutes everyday.

I've purchased some workout dvds and joined the gym since. I am now running about 10 miles. ME! RUNNING!! If anyone would've said that I would enjoy running, I'd have laughed but now I can't wait to get out there. I love it!

Personal Information:
37years old
Single mom of my beautiful 3.5 year old daughter who's the light of my life and soon to be step mom of the other two lights of my life...SDs Emily 10 and Abbi 8. And of course, my sweetie Paul.

how are you? How is good old Windsor treating you? Are you stil lliving in Windsor? How is Aailyah doing? She must be turning 4 right or she just celebrated her birthday in the last few weeks. Hope you doing well and training hard.

Hey Karen!

How are you doing? Things are Ok on this end. I did the Terry Fox and I wanted to do 5km and it ended up that i did 9km and i did that in 65 minutes! i was impressed.

October 4th is the CIBC run for the cure in Richmond Hill. i plan on doing the 5km, but I am not sure if they offer a 10km.

Otherwise kids are back in school and the job is the job...I would rather be doing something else...

Also, Jon and I are FINALLY planning out 10 year anniversary gift (even though we have been married for 11 1/2 yrs). I think that we - just me and him - to Dominican !

How are you doing? how is that lovely little girl?

They are quite cute and very creative, aren't they?? Sounds like your little girl, is not so little huh? Kind of like my daughter. They have minds of their own and boy does Maddie like to challenge mommy :D
I am glad your back. This is a good place to start again and it takes a lot to get back on track, but you have done it before and you are going to do it again!! The consulting is going great. I have great, determined people that I am working with. Makes me feel good to see them taking steps to changing their lives.
