I want to be healthy for my daughter. Both my parents have been diagnosed with diabetes and I don't want to follow in their footsteps! I am not going to pretend that looking good won't be as important as health. I want to look stunning for my husband.
I am monitoring my daily intake of calories and thus trying to make myself more aware of what I am eating. I don't want to continue my "secret eating" lifestyle. I will gradually introduce more exercise but I am not going to lose sleep over it.
I am a 26 year old Mummy to my 2 year old daughter. I live in the South of England with my husband. I work part time and begin studying for my Mathematics degree with the Open University in October. I hope to use my degree to become a maths teacher at secondary school level.
"We always hope for the easy fix: the one simple change that will erase a problem in a stroke. But few things in life work this way. Instead, success requires making a hundred small steps go right—one after the other, no slipups, no goofs, everyone pitching in." — Atul Gawande
