A New Chapter

I am starting a new chapter in my life.

I started this journey at 260 pounds. I met my goal weight of 140 pounds on March 3, 2013.

Now it is on to the maintenance phase.

Thanks for stopping by my post about going meatless. The protein issue is what I worry about most. I actually had gastric bypass four years ago and protein is considered the most necessary nutrient to get afterwards. That's why I think I will eventually get to the point of just eating chicken at times. I do love legumes but fibrous protein sources are also higher in calories (albeit good ones). I am also just getting over anemia so I have to be careful.

Thanks for your note on my blog. I'm looking forward to those garden-fresh tomatoes, too! BTW, my granddaughter eats cucumbers like you do tomatoes:)

Thank you very much for your kind comment on my blog!
Yes! My surgeon is a drill sergeant!
He is a professor of surgery, and has an almost perfect track record, so he really weeds the patients who are not ready to really change out with this terrible regimen!
He demands small livers and flexible elastic deodenums, which is done by sticking to his awful diet.
I am thankful to have him. But I wish it was over.

emoticon Thanks so much for the support on my blog, it truly means a lot! I was kind of in a funk getting back on track and not being the most supportive Spark friend in terms of encouraging everyone, but I'm back to it! emoticon emoticon
