"You're beautiful all the time"

I recently graduated from Hollins University and am moving to Raleigh to be a full time nanny before starting grad school in the Fall of 2010 at NC State. I hoping to adopt a much healthier lifestyle now that I will have a greater control over my own meals and schedule. I'm making a commitment to healthy eating and making time for working out in this next phase of my life!

emoticon emoticon CHALLENGE emoticon emoticon

Hi,

From some of the posts, I can tell that some of you had the same reaction I had when I saw the challenge post- WTH?!?!?
My 2nd Reaction- They would decide to do something new when I volunteer, for the first time, to be a co-leader!!

But then, I realized to take a deep breath and look at the picture- which is about using this challenge to help me with creating a healthier lifestyle.

First, I think I am going to send Newcastle some questions to get more details about this challenge.

From what I have heard- virtual challenges are not that bad. I went on another team's page and they did a virtual challenge of running across Texas and they had 3 weeks to do it. Basically, the people would calculate how many miles they accrued in their exercise over 3 weeks in hopes of it becoming the equivalent of running across Texas.

Second- Please remember that this challenge is about creating a healthy lifestyle and losing weight. So, don't feel that you have to leave because you might not be able to do this challenge. Even if you can't do the challenges, by losing weight and providing support to everyone you are helping the TEAM so you are still an important TEAM MEMBER!!! emoticon

emoticon emoticon (sounding like James Brown), don't leave the team because you feel that you will not be able to complete this challenge that will occur at the END of the CHALLENGE. Remember that there are 12 weeks up to the final challenge and in the time you can utilize this group to lose weight, gain encouragement, vent and meet your goals.

So many times we will look at something and instantly feel that we might not be able to do it- and will not even try (talking to myself here). However, if we never try than we will never know if we could have done it. Even if you try and don't make it, at least you tried and got out of your comfort zone.

Also, the Ladies from the last challenge can tell you that what we think is impossible can become possible. A couple of weeks ago, some of us (including me) were like- will we ever be able to be #1 in weight loss or challenge points? So many people had dropped from the challenge and there were only like less than a handful of people left but Anna gave us an encouraging post and "the last of the Mohicans" banded together and recommitted ourselves to completing the challenge STRONG emoticon . This week we found out that we were #1 in weight loss!!! We became the "Little Team that COULD"!!

Each of you are capable of doing so much!! So stick with us, whether you can or can't do the final challenge, because this is about creating a healthy lifestyle emoticon .
