hello from "CorpusChristie"

After two weight-loss challenges at my local gym, I am so happy with how my body is shaping up. Even if that scale never gets to 145, my goal, I will still be happy. Even my husband is starting to comment on how I look!

"...for God sees not as man sees, for man looks at the outward apearance, but the Lord looks at the heart." 1 Samuel 16:7

Even if you are on the right track, you'll get run over if you just sit there. -- Will Rogers

My Goals:
I hope to lose weight for all the typical reasons... I want to look good in my jeans. I want to be healthy so I can keep up with my sons.

Dec 8: Fit into that fabulous dress for the Christmas party.

My Program:
Keep doing the exercises I love (like kick boxing), but shock my body with new things.

Eat better. Track calories. Mostly eat better.

Weekly updates using the blog.

Personal Information:
I'm 37, and have two boys. I stay at home with them, so I have little excuse for not exercising. I also like to cook, so I have the control to eat right if I only have the will power.

Good Luck in your calorie counting efforts, I just trying to wrap my head around exercising again. Which for me means 15 min of walking 3x week until I can move better. But it's a start! I am drinking water like an elephant!LOL

Yes, me and my husband were married on CC beach. We wanted to get married in Hawaii but we decided to get married in the place we have decided to live out the rest of our days (we are from California). As son as we can afford it and the family can hold together long enough without us we will take our honeymoon in Hawaii. My husband and I have just started to train for a 5K, we would like to do our first one in Oct. but we will see. We are very motivated but just how much that will get us to be ready by Oct. we will see. Keep up the good work and talk to ya soon!

Hi, I read your reply to "I hate veggies and fruit". Its also a change in tastebuds from kid to adult. I eat things now that I never would have eaten as a child. I'm lucky, my son likes a lot of veggies that I wouldn't even look at as a kid. I am however trying to get him and I interested in more of a variety of veggies like fiddleheads. How in God's green earth do you cook those things. He would still rather go without the veggies mind you, but he will eat them when they are put on his plate.
