I was not sure that you were addressing me or not but I will answer just in case! The cook book was not around when I first started on my journey but I can see where that might be a big help. I started tracking the food that I was eating and trying to keep within the nutrition amounts that Spark People gave me. I struggled with this trying to get it right but it has, at last, become easier for me. I also started eating breakfast even though I am never hungry in the mornings and I can, and do still, forget to eat. I also started on an exercise regimen and that was probably the biggest thing for me. I was not an exerciser and I thought that was something I would never do, in fact I often said that exercise was a dirty word! I use the exercises provided by Spark People and change them when my routine starts to become boring for me. I believe in this program that Spark People provides for us and it has worked for me. I believe that it can work for everyone who wants to follow it, read the articles and do the work. It's not an easy journey but one well worth taking and I have no regrets. Good luck and best wishes!
