Eating to Manage health

I recently had my fifth surgery for, what my doctor likes to refer to as... beyond stage IV endometriosis. I know the power of food and that it can be used for good instead of evil. I have decided to take matters into my own hands. I plan on changing my health with nutrition. Wish me luck!

My Goals:
One Year without surgery.

My Program:
I am trying to eat foods low in Arachidonic Acid. I need to manage inflammation. So I must remember low sugars and more veggies. I will miss you fudgy, cakey yummies.

Personal Information:
I live in Jersey. I teach dance to kids and adults and have just begun to teach pilates after a year of training. My PMA exam is on May 21st. Pilates has really helped me manage pain.

Other Information:
I love classical pilates. I believe in the healing qualities of blood flow and oxygen. I have had major upset in my body with minimal pain. Yes, I have pain but doctors are shocked I am not in more pain. I actually took two weeks off pilates and was eating all wrong and by the end of the two weeks I was doubled over in pain and could hardly walk. I am a believer!

by the way, have you read "Endometriosis: A Key to Healing Through Nutrition" by Dian Shepperson Mills? it's super in-depth but it's an amazingly inspiring and educational book that helped me change my life!

i'd love to hear what you're doing other than nutrition to manage your endo. please please hop on the team and tell us all about it! i'm excited to learn more :)

welcome again and i look forward to having you as part of the team!!
