My journey started with a trip to Belize (July 2012) and wanting to wear a bikini. After 4 months, my short term goal of wearing a bikini has changed to long term changes in my lifestyle. Two years later I'm still working on it!!
I'm trying to eat right and exercise. The eating right thing is tough. I didn't realize the amount of sugar I ate daily. Now through tracking my food, I'm more conscious of food choices - carbs-fats-protein.
Due to a foot injury in 2013, I can't really do any high impact cardio. I even tried walking but found it less enjoyable and a bit painful. I started lifting weights that summer and have been going strong for over a year. Huge results in how I look. I love the workouts!!! The best thing is that I haven't been to the chiropractor in almost a year (I was going a lot with lower back problems).
My concern as always is eating healthy and losing about 10 lbs. The struggle continues.

My name is Julie and I have 2 daughters ages 10 and 13. I am a a teacher and LOVE my job!! I enjoy working on my house, fishing, and hanging out with my boyfriend and daughters.

Other Information:
I'm finding out that diet is a HUGE chunk of the picture, and one that I really need to focus on!
