Shared Food & Fitness Trackers
I just want to get healthy! asthma, CLL, obesity. Please, let me be in control of SOMETHING in my life!
I am 66, think like 35 and feel like 75.
I would like to be at 175 by my Jan 19 birthday
I would like to be able to reduce my BP meds
I am currently trying for 120 minutes of fitness daily, though I am not panicky if I only get 30.
I strive to have all diet components within range. (fats, carbs, protein)
I am 66, married 46 years, with 3 grown children, all living out of state. I am gluten intolerant, have asthma, and CLL. I am a pretty optimistic person, and use laughter as a coping mechanism.
Update: I have been with Spark People since July. I had already lost 6 pounds when I joined, and now weigh 26 pounds less than that. I try to exercise 100 minutes a day, and often exceed that. My clothes fit much looser, and I have switched to lower sizes on some things. next week I will go to the doctor and see how 'my numbers' look to him.

Good Morning Cookie
I gottcha on the basement perspective.. ours is a finished basement and the house is all central air and heat.. heat is propane... but the basement is always cold anyway. I actually tend to like cold but 54 might be pushing it LOL
Anyway I wanted to say "I have NO idea what a pellet stove is" . Maybe sometime when you have a minute you could enlighten me?
Hope you are having a good morning :)

I have to say your menu sounds pretty good. We went to the Gavel restaurant downtown and I had a 4 oz. steak, with sautaeed onions and mushrooms, a baked potato with butter and sour cream, green beans and a mini loaf of multigrain bread to share, DH had the same steak, cole slaw and green beans. My birthday dessert was sopillas(sp) with fried ice cream that DH and I shared, oh and I did have one glass of Mighty Mac Blueberry wine which is produced here at a local orchard, it was a very nice evening. It was fun sharing our meals. Have a wonderful evening.

Cookie I hope you do go out for dinner to, it's ok if you don't sing as when our kids took me out on Sunday I got sang to at Applebee's and my son told the waitrees I was turning 42 and when they came to sing they said "Shirley is turning 42 today and then proceeded to sing to me, lol. So for one day I was 42. If you do go out be sure and let me know what you had for dinner and I'll do the same, that way it'll be like we were together for my birthday.
Have a great Tuesday.

hey there Cookie... in case you aren't picking up on the chatter with others .. that tracker is now doing something even crazier LOL We finally sent it off to be replace on the 10th and now it is syncing to something and recording the steps for something else onto my account.. which I tried to remove and it won't really let me do LOL So who knows what will happen when the new one gets here... ahh it's an adventure isn't it??
Meanwhile great job on your part. Do keep those calories and such up you have to be building one heck of an engine by now and all that takes fuel :D

Hello! re: Spark tracker -
also make sure the tracker is on your shoe with the open end pointing to your toe if you want the best data.
