Time to try again in 2013!!

I joined Spark People in 2011. I was tired of my clothes fitting too tight, it was time to do something about it!! I lost about 30 pounds, Here it is, almost two years later. I have kept off 22 pounds, so I am happy. I am 59 years old, married with a big family. My hobbies include gardening, reading, sewing, quilting, crocheting, crafts, etc. I love to do it all!

Hello & Happy Easter,

This is my first day on the computer since my surgery and I see you tried to check in with me while I've been out of circulation. Thanks for that, sorry I didn't answer - just wasn't feeling well.

My surgery happened and I returned home a couple of days ago. I am trying to get up some strength and energy at this point. I'm not eating right yet, I just don't have my appetite. My system is not quite right. I did go for a little walk around the pool a few times earlier since the sun is out and it's not freezing like it had been. I did enjoy that and am thankful for a nice day. It's perfect for Easter.

I can tell it's going to be a slow process in healing from this. Boy it's harder than I thought it would be that's for sure. I'm hoping for my energy to pick up so I can feel more normal and I need to be eating better to gain some strength.

I'm hoping and praying that all is well with you and that you are keeping busy as you like to be. I think I saw that your sewing machine died...that sounds like a real problem! No one wants to have to take the machine in and be without it for any length of time. Hope it's a quick fix and that you'll be back in action soon.

Take care and drop by to say hellp when you have a few minutes. You always seem to "spark" up my day.

Hugs,
~Karla

Thanks for the info about the natural cures and the vinegar. Can't imagine drinking vinegar, bleeh! I am scheduled for an EGD on April 4 and am currently taking antibiotics to cure a sinus infection so after all of that, I will see whats up. Can't wait to get the acid reflux diet book. I HAVE to start eating better consistently. I go for a while doing the right things but then fall off the wagon for much longer. Keep in touch.

Yes, I still have a Day Job, but it is pretty slack during the winter and picks up in April thru November. Looking forward to our retirement in about 3 years.
