2016 is the year I will become the best me possible!

I'm only 56, but dealing with high blood pressure, pre-diabetes and a few other health issues. I lost 30 pounds a year and a half ago, but need to lose at least another 20 to feel comfortable. My overall health goals:

Walk every day - between 30 and 45 minutes (I have to do this because of my big dog!) - stretching after
Weights/toning 3 times a week
Yoga 2 times a week

Focus on a diet of vegetables, fruits, lean protein and complex carbs - VERY little sugar or white flour (I already do this pretty well, but need to do even better)

Meditate for 30 minutes every day

I think my ideal weight is about 120, but that may be unrealistic - will reassess at 130.

Cardio - At least 35 min. 5x per week

I am 51 years old, married, and have two daughters - one in high school and one in college.

Update - 6/1/14 - Haven't been on here in awhile - now am 54! Renewing committment to a healthy lifestyle!

56 now. Time to be vigilent.


Other Information:
I LOVE to read. I also enjoy the fine arts, and all kinds of music, watching sports, and walking my dog. Could list many more - I love life and doing lots of different things!
