hi! :)

i am from maui, going to college in boston... where i've become hopelessly chubby :(

i'm a victim of the freshman 15 which has creeped up on me over the past year... and now i'd like to have it all off!!!!

i did join SP many months ago in the spring, but finals week took a hard whack at me and I gave up for a while. Now it's July and I'm ready to be back in action to lose the extra weight before school starts!!! And even through the school year, if ...

But most importantly, I'm looking for the *motivation that will help me permanently become someone who exercises regularly and picks the healthy foods instead of the chocolatey-sugary ones!*

My Program:
My daily life this summer is basically: wake up, hopefully succeed in making myself get on the treadmill for 20-30 mins, do some pushups/lunges/crunches etc., then drink 8 glasses of water throughout the day, go to work as a waitress from 5-10, come home, sleep!

and in my boredom time, avoid the huge pile of snack foods and sweet bread by substituting with pretzel sticks and more water to fill me up.

I LOVE the movie Fantasia (1940)!! it's the greatest thing in the world. :)

I guess I like sushi too.. I eat it every day (at work).

hey girl.. its good to know you are still alive. Believe me, this last week has been uber hectic. I actually gained this past week, and its really disappointing... but I needed to see it. I know we can do this, we just have to push ourself that extra mile because we are the smaller girls in the group so sometimes the weight loss is more minimal then others who have more weight to lose, so its makes it seem like our bodies are just not working right.

I did, however, find out that I only have 22% body fat. That is great to know because I swore it was more like 27-30% Guess I was wrong! Funny how we perceive ourselves... even though its not always true.

Well hang in there teammate, and know that there will be ups and downs and sideways and upside downs, but we will get there... just needs lots of blood sweat and tears!!! and determination, oh and lots of willpower. Looks like we are both lacking in that dept. LOL

Well I really hope you're back on track now! It IS really frustrating when you look at the scale and realize you've gained weight back. But it's only a setback! Yes it means that it's now going to take a little longer to lose the weight and our goals are going to seem even farther away, but If we give up completely then we're never gonna reach those goals, right?

I've been out camping for the last few days, so I'm sorry I haven't been able to reply for so long! Before I left to go camping on Thursday I was down to 111lbs which was nice. But since then I've basically eaten whatever, because while camping I always get incredibly bored, but at least I got in a lot of exercise with swimming and stuff! I'm not going to weigh myself until next weekend. I try not weigh myself unless I've been eating and exercising well for a few days at least.

But I'm moving into my dorm in exactly one week! I'm going to try very hard this week so I'll at least feel better about myself when I move, knowing that I've tried and that I've made progress. Although I haven't lost the weight I inteded to in the first place I've made some progress. So I haven't failed!
I hoping to be down to 110 by the time I move.

When are you going back to school?
And how have you been doing the past few days?
Fantastic I hope!
But if not I know you can pick yourself back up =]
