The Weight Wars Are About to Begin...

My name is Dana and I'm 35 years old. I've always battled my weight since I've been a little girl. I was always the tall, chubby kid in the back of the classroom. As a teenager, I never really thought about how my weight impacted my health. I was always a overweight, but not so much so, that I couldn't enjoy the exciting things in life. When I went to college, I gained more weight and I struggled with my self esteem. Now, I think, I'm not getting any younger and I want to accomplish so ...
My name is Dana and I'm 35 years old. I've always battled my weight since I've been a little girl. I was always the tall, chubby kid in the back of the classroom. As a teenager, I never really thought about how my weight impacted my health. I was always a overweight, but not so much so, that I couldn't enjoy the exciting things in life. When I went to college, I gained more weight and I struggled with my self esteem. Now, I think, I'm not getting any younger and I want to accomplish so much in my life. Right now, I have lost close to a 100 pounds from 300 down to 209!!
I tried to lose weight last year, and I had lost about 20 pounds in 6 months. Then, September came, and as usual, with me being a teacher, I began to gain again. There are so many goals I would like to accomplish before I'm forty. I want to be able to fit into a rollercoaster seat t, fit into a bathingsuit comfortably, run a 5k marathon, explore roller derby and most importantly, try to conceive a child with my partner. My weight has held me back from all the fun things in life and I refuse for it to win over me any more. I'm tired of my knees hurting and being winded while going up the stairs. I want to start my life and a family with a good weight and an excellent mind set.

My Goals:
I want to run a marathon one day. I think I'll start with a 5k, 10k, then a half marathon. I'm also interested in doing a triathalon, or a duathalon.

My Program:
Running at least 3 days a week. Strength training 2 days a week. Running 10-12 miles a week.

Thank you! That's our dog, Oz (for the great and powerful Oz!) We call him Ozzie for short. He's the one that gets me out of the bed at 5 am everyday and so that I can start working out!! :)
