    I asked my daughter who has had fibromyalgia for a decade now--I am copying her answer here:

    Colly:get a big rubber band (actually the stuff they use to make a tourniquet works perfect) put it in a door then pull like a curl and then also pull from behind to front like a lifting machine

    Colly: believe it or not the giant rubber stuff works wonders in resistance and costs just a couple dollars. I screwed two big eye hooks (like we used on the old screen door LOL) in the door frame and tie the band off but you can thread it thru between the door and frame tie it like a big loop then close the door tight and the door provides the resistance.
