I saw your goals - I quit diet coke just before thanksgiving - that was a life change in and of itself.
As for running - look up the "couch to 5k" program - there is a spark team for it, there is a website (coolrunning.com), and more. That's the program I'm on, the goal is to be up to a 5k in 9-10 weeks. Week 3 has been a challenge for me, so I'm repeating it.
