Strong is the new skinny.

I have been overweight for as long as I can remember. Food has always been a way for me to cope with every emotion you can think of. It is time to end the cycle that has caused me to be overweight for my entire life.

I want this to be my time to shine. I want to push myself to the limits and see what I can really do. It's time for me to prove to myself that I am more than just a pretty face. I want to feel as good on the outside as I do on the inside.

I refuse to believe that I will always be the biggest one out of my friends and family. I refuse to accept that I will be over 200 pounds for the rest of my life. It is time to come to terms with all of my demons and once and for all show what I am truly made of.

My Program:
I do a combination of a lot of cardio and ST. My new favs:

Circuit Training
Tabata
Zumba


I have been working on eating more frequently, and eating MORE. I have found that if I eat consistently every 2-3 hours I keep my metabolism up up up!

I have cut out all white flour and refined sugars for awhile, just to see if I can reset my body. It seems to be working!

Personal Information:
I am from Upstate NY, not to be confused with NYC.... which is what everyone thinks. :) I went to Culinary School in San Francisco, which is where my weight took on a life of it's own. I was there for a little over a year and gained 70 pounds! Hello French food... butter, cream, potatoes and cheese! Which are all so delicious, but not so good for the waistline!

I moved back to NY, where I currently am working with my parents at our family owned bar and grill! Which causes it's own obstacles... I am the only Chef, so I am the one who prepares all the food. I have to constantly be conscious of not snacking and not tasting every little thing.

I have a 2 1/2 year old daughter who keeps me busy all of the time! I am lucky enough to be able to spend the day with her until her daddy comes home and is with her while I am at work. I can't imagine my life without her, and I want to be healthy and fit to be a great role model for her.

Hey Lea-baybee! I'm well. Slowly righting this ship.

I am so in AWE of your progress! When we first started, our weights were so similiar, now you have just left me in the dust! You go gurrrl! I'm so jealo....I mean PROUD of you! emoticon

Just a bbq planned for Memorial Day. That and thanking God for the heroes who protect my freedom. emoticon
