My Goals:
To lose 10% of my weight this year.

To avoid becoming diabetic.

To live life with grace and gusto.

My Program:
Get plenty of cardio and lift weights regularly.

Stop eating at 7:00 p.m.

No eating mindlessly.

Eat at least 5 servings of fruits and vegetables every day.

Eat whole grains.

Quit eating before becoming FULL.

Love life.

I might have thought I saw your face in the crowd... it's such a trip, the Lincoln Half... like one giant block party. Thanks to you for coming out to encourage folks... and for that matter to all of Lincoln for making this such a great event for the runners. Next year, gonna join us? Sign up early, it fills fast!

For that matter, come walk one of the HM's of the Double Half Mary in Valparaiso or Roca weekend after Labor Day... pretty country and lots of Happy, Active folks!

Interesting about dairy fat, I'd been reading that, too. But when I start in on dairy fat, it's a HUGE trigger for me... I think my most recent lapse began simply with a single scoop of ice cream from a work spread. Sigh. So... like you, I have to be very, very careful.

Yes! Come walk (the half) next year! December 1st they put the online registration up, and that leaves you time to train (yes, even to walk it, one should train for the continuous motion for that length of time and for the distances). I was a spectator for YEARS before I sprang to participate, and it's just incredible. It's hard, yes. That's why one does something like this... to remind ourselves that we ARE stronger than we think.

Would LOVE to have you be there. Warning, it fills FAST... they had got to their cap and shut down registration by the end of December, 2011 for this year's race.
