Come Back Kid

At my worst point I was 510 lbs.......

about 7 years ago I had gastric bypass surgery, ate close to nothing for the next couple years and dropped down to 165lbs....

At some point I became very confused and unhappy with where I was physically and decided to be free with what I ate and basically stopped exercising- I became 350 lbs

When I recovered for all the insanity in my life I realized that some of my happiest experiences where when I was working out. ...

about 7 years ago I had gastric bypass surgery, ate close to nothing for the next couple years and dropped down to 165lbs....

At some point I became very confused and unhappy with where I was physically and decided to be free with what I ate and basically stopped exercising- I became 350 lbs

When I recovered for all the insanity in my life I realized that some of my happiest experiences where when I was working out. At the time, I was smoking and eating terribly IT WAS TIME FOR SOMETHING TO CHANGE!

I had close to no muscle mass, the ONLY exercise I had really had EVER done outside of gym class was riding a bike- that was all i did (And not eat) to loose all the weight after the surgery.

So I started walking a treadmill at work during lunch 12 minutes a few days a week. It was disappointing how weak and physically atrophy I had become.

From 12 minutes I struggled for more- one day a guy next to me started running- i thought why not?

Next thing I knew I started a 5 day a week walk run that progressed from a 15 minute plan to 5K runs at lunch.

From there I decided if I was going to do anything real, I HAD to quit smoking!!! January 1, 2010 I celebrated one year smoke free, last year for the first time in my life I complete 3 5K's, a 10 Mile race, TWO half-Marathons AND THE 2009 B of A Chicago Marathon finishing 5:13:10...

Then I was basically lost- what now? gained back 15 lbs and realized it isnít just about the goals I want to be healthier, stronger, i DONT BELIEVE IN OBSTACLES!!! so what did I hear- some super smug, super fit guy saying BRING IT!!!!

Well here I am, day 13 completing 95-100% of the videos and following the diet plan verbatim- in 13 days I have lost 4 inches on my waist and 15.4 lbs!

Now I need to stay focused so here I am.......1/17/2010

I got an exercise bike - that's the new toy.
Do you use Freecycle? It's a yahoo group where people give away stuff they don't want and ask for stuff they do want.
I got an exercise bike for FREE!

The question posed is "When is the marathon"- well I am registered and formally in training for the Chicago Marathon again 10/10/10 - first couple runs down focusing on weight loss and consistency!
