On God's Journey

I've been using MFP and I've had great success!!! I started at 388 lbs. and God has given me favor to lessen my load!!!

My friend at Curves told me about this site, and man it's something else. I now do Sparks and MFP. I have so many friends at MFP, that I don't want to leave, so I'm staying there. I'm looking forward to making many new friends here on Sparks.

My Goals:
I want to be healthy and get rid of all this excess weight, that I'm carrying. By the Grace of GOD, he has me on the right track. PRAISE THE LORD!!!

My Program:
I'm still recovering from an car accident, last year. I've just finished physical therapy, where I learned how to walk again. I'm slowly adding easy exercises in my daily routine. I do wear a pedometer, as I'm counting my steps, every day.

Personal Information:
I'm originally from PA, but I now live in GA. I spent all my childhood years traveling around the world, as my dad was in the Air Force. When I was 23, I decided to join the Army, and I had a blast!!!

Other Information:
These are the two scriptures I stand on:

1. Philippians 4:13
"I have strength for all things in Christ Who empowers me [I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him Who infuses inner strength into me; I am self-sufficient in Christ's sufficiency]."

2. 1Corinthians10:31
"So then, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you may do, do all for the honor and glory of God"

Yes, I started last week and finally lost another pound!

The people at my studio are really helpful and there's a studio next door that offers aerobic exercise programs like Zumba. Will have to figure out what I can afford.

I too have degenerative arthritis in my neck and back. I have spinal stenosis. Beause of all this, I've been diagnosed with chronic pain syndrome. Only I take 2 Tramadol 3 times a day for my pain. It takes the edge off anyway. Add to this COPD and asthma together, fun times. No, I'm not complaining, as I am dealing with it quite well my doctor's say. emoticon

We seem to have a lot in common. I was told to keep moving too and I do. I also have arthritis all through my body. So, I know how important is to keep moving. You have encouraged me to try the beast again and work through it. Thank you. I'm not one to coddle myself at all. I've been a fighter all my life. Since birth when I was born 2 months early and weighed 2 lbs. and 6 oz. My Mom had toxemia and we both almost died but God had other plans for us and I am forever grateful.

A minor correction about Doug. He's my brother, not my son. I have no children except my fur kid, Max. Purr, Purr! emoticon
