Hello! I'm Lexie. I'm a college student who experienced weight gain and am determined to get rid of it! Throughout my teenage years, I've developed some pretty bad eating habits (shout out to my girls suffering from emotional eating, you are not alone!). However, I'm not going to get discouraged, and least not anymore. I'm working on being HEALTHY... physically, emotionally, spiritually, etc.

I'm passionate about faith, fitness, friends, family, and fashion. My weight (and insecurity about my weight) has been detrimental to those things. I'm determined to kick insecurity in the butt, and hopefully shrink mine in the process.

-- Eventually, run a marathon

-- Rock a bikini, confidently!

Keeping a journal and food diary. Running and taking strength training classes at the gym.

Personal Information:
I'm a college student out to lose the freshman 15! I don't want my weight to contribute to low self esteem, and I want to take advantage of every opportunity I have to be healthy and happy!

I would love to one day be confident enough in myself to get certified to be a group fitness instructor! It seems like the most perfect part time job.

    Thanks for your comment on my blog. I have tried to get the boyfriend to workout with me... He gets up at 4:30 a.m. for work and is typically exhausted by the time I'm home. I usually just get into my groove and get to the gym first thing in the morning. I have tried to trick and encourage so many workout buddies, but everyone's schedules are crazy... (my best friend has 4 kids, is in school fulltime... my mom... well she wants to do it, she still in the contemplation phase? Been trying to help her out of it... lol another close friend works graveyard at a hospital... I'll keep looking though!) Good advice. Thanks!

    Thanks for the comment on my blog! In some respects going back to school helps with getting on track because there's a schedule to stick to, but it's hard for me when we get into the semester and near the end of it because things just get so crazy. I'm hoping that by using this site things will change for me and I'll be able to stick to my plan this time.

    Hmmm... I'm not really too sure that I have any really good tips on a race that long, and I don't feel like I did to stellar on it. I kind of ran outta steam a few miles into it and then went much slower for a while and then did the run/walk thing the last couple of miles. It was the first time that I had gone that distance but I kept pushing myself because I knew they were going to post the results, and for some reason, the paranoid part of me wants to make sure I have a good time when they post things like that! That was seriously my major motivation for hurrying the hell up - if someone googles my name I don't want a slow time showing up!! LOL! Seems ridiculous but hey, whatever works!
