Gonna do this

Had to redo this intro as I'm no longer 55 :)

I'm 58. Seem to have had a weight problem since my mid 40's. Time to move and get rid of this weight.

About 255 in the London pic, went up to 285, down to 240 in Puerto Vallarta picture. I'm now around 215 so I'll have to post an updated picture.

All these clothes I'm wearing in the picture have gone into storage. I'm not sure why because I plan on never, ever wearing them again. LOL.

My Goals:
To get to 205 by end of May 2009. That will make it an even 80lbs lost. And hopefully 185 by then end of the summer (September or there abouts)

My Program:
I have started to reduce my calories and started walking more. I knew dogs were good for something. J/K. As the weather warms up I'll start riding my bike more as well.

Personal Information:
I'm not new here, actually I've been on and off SparkPeople for a number of years now. It's been quite a journey and the bad part started when my father died in 2005. From that time on I became very depressed, started drinking heavily, started eating anything and everything in enormous amounts (2 litres of icecream watching a movie wasn't unusual). Stopped going to the gym. I went from about 220lbs to 285lbs in about 2 years and still climbing. Even at 220 I was considered obese. I could barely walk from the Osteoarthritis in my knees, could hardley get in and out of my car, my skin looked pasty grey and my heart had irregular heart beats. My blood pressure was almost 200 over 110. Everyone told me I was a miserable old fart and irritible. I actually thought I was going to be like this for the rest of my life. Almost lost my job, my wife and my family. It wasn't a good situation.

Last October 2008 I visited my doctor and he said Colin, if you don't reverse what you are doin
