Revising relationship with food

I've always been a reasonably healthy eater and have exercised regularly since my early 20's. However, when I hit my 40's, the weight started coming on and the exercise started to wane. I can't eat as much as I used to without gaining. So, now I am learning how to eat the right amount of food to feel healthy and energetic for my age.

My Goals:
I want to lose 10 to 15 pounds. strength train 2 to 3 days a week and fit loosely into a size 12 (no elastic waistline!).

My Program:
I am walking 4 days a week, and strength training 2 days a week .

I strength train at home using dumbbells, exercise band, and an exercise ball. I used to go to the gym, but I wanted to save the money and gas. Working out at home has been surprisingly fun and effective!

On hot, cold or rainy days, I am using Leslie Sansone's indoor walking DVD.

I'm logging my food into the food tracker each day, and trying to stay within the calorie limits.

Personal Information:
I am a 40-something female from the Southeastern USA.

Other Information:
My favorite books are historical fiction, mysteries, biographies, and non-fiction political books.

Ah! Pinwheels remind me of being a kid and having fun in the summer.
thank you for the goodie! For some reason our cucumbers never do quite well enough to make pickles, so my husband makes zuchinni bread and butter and dill pickles. We always seem to have enough zuchinni, and they taste just as good! I guess they may lack a little of the 'crunch' but I love them anyway.
Glad you have a garden!
