4/2/16 Today I am 185 pounds. I've lost 5 pounds since starting at 190 pounds. Previously I have lost 60 pounds using SparkPeople. I believe that I can get back to my original weight goal of 150 pounds. I'm very excited to do that and I hope you will join me on the journey. Posted in 2009: Hello everyone, I do not intend to be a size 0. I do intend to be healthy and feel good about myself. There are things in my life professionally that I think I can't do because I am overweight. My goal is to shed the pounds so that I lose out on merit not beauty. I had a friend that recently said "don't give up your dream" when I said I didn't have the body to cut it in my industry. I really took it to heart and decided that no one is going to tell me what I can and cannot do because I have love handles. I hope I can be of help to anyone else who's been surpressed by food, peers, and the pressure of your future. Remember...don't do it for them. Do it for yourself to show them. ---------------------------- UPDATE: 2/10/2010 I created this page in January of 2008. Since that time I have lost a total of 55lbs. 45lbs I lost between 1/2009 and 7/2009. In this time I also graduated college and I now have the looks to achieve my dream. I've also discovered something else that I realized I had been missing out on...romance. Simply put, the change in weight changed my attitude. The combination made me a more enjoyable person to be with. I am loving life and am a much healthier and happier person in the past year. I cannot imagine being the person I used to be. Don't give up at all. Don't hate yourself for eating cake. Just keep living life and think of it as a big staircase in which you take one step per day. Eventually you'll get to the top!

I am under the profound assumption that as soon as you call it a diet you're not going to fulfill your goal of losing weight.

I live day to day trying to eat right and exercise as much as I can or want that week. It takes time.
