Thank you for sharing your story and the positive focus and aspirations that you (with the support of your new family) have from such a challenging begining. Your story inspires me with hope and really challenges me to find the lessons and determination in my own little problems.

After reading your story, I'm in awe of you! I have some cousins who grew up in the home of an alcoholic father, and one of them became a psychologist and has written a book on the subject. I was in tears reading it.... we saw them the whole time we were all growing up together.... till I was in high school, and I didn't have a clue! We knew the father was considered "no good" but thought it was just because he couldn't keep a job. We were protected from the truth.

God bless you, and keep up your marvelous spirit.

By the way, the above mentioned uncle later became a preacher, dedicated himself to God, and made peace with his children.

I really appreciated your story. It is scary how many people have gone through a similar experience and are still able to come out a head in the end. The survivors who can overcome despite those horrendous situations are definitely a winner.
