Addicted To Food Shows

My husband an I are addicted to food shows. The problem is that they make us want to eat something - and - we're WEAK!We're trying to record them so we can watch them while we're eating dinner - to try and curb the late night munching.

We compare aches and pains and daily stress, and we eat. We are in a rut. Being tired all the time, it seems exhausting to think about changing.

The eye opener here for me is this: We're only mentally in a rut - but - our bodies ...

I saw your post on the CO group page (I just joined today) and I want to share with you that I had an amazingly similar story: I went to OA several years ago, was abstinent for 30 days and felt WONDERFUL, not just because of the weight loss but because of the progress I was making in my awareness of my personal self, then wanted to eat like "everyone else" and slipped away. Here it is 9 years later and my head is filled with a lot of decisions about how and what to eat. I rejoined OA last night and I'm willing to open my heart to the healing principles they espouse. I'm not sure what direction my eating plan will take in the end, but I'm starting with "3-0-1" three moderate meals, NO food in between meals, one day at a time. Personally, I do better on a lower carbohydrate eating plan (under 40 grams per day), but I think that beginning by bringing some discipline to the scene is the way to go for me. I've added you as a friend and hope that we can be a support for one another as we travel down the narrow road.

I go through St.Ignace every summer,, Tweetykc and I (DD) will be spending a day there in August.. Racingtolose(sparker) is going also..
