I'm a Minnetonka, Minnesota resident, age 50, mother of an 11 year old boy and owner of 2 Welsh corgis. I am an avid YMCA member and work out several times a week in BodyPump and BodyFlow classes, as well as "doing time" on the elliptical trainer. I recently completed a 16-week Binge Eating Disorder class at Park Nicollet which has given me "tons" of insight into the eating habits which have brought me to the weight I am. I am now rededicating myself to obtaining and maintaining a healthy weight and am tracking my food and exercise to be accountable to my therapist , nutritionist, my SparkFriends and myself.
P.S. I love, love, LOVE coffee. Hence my "handle."

My Goals:
I want the "outer me" to resemble the "inner me." The inner me is an athletic, trim woman in her late 40s who looks a decade younger. The "outer me" has 50 extra pounds of padding.
My Program:
I am trying to get a handle on my food choices, portions and emotional eating, and I'm stepping up my workout regime from 3X/week to 5-6X/week.
Personal Information:
I was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan; lived in Milwaukee, WI in the mid-1980s; moved to Minneapolis/St. Paul in 1988 and have lived here ever since. My maiden name was Rempalski. I attended Kenowa Hills H.S. (Walker, MI); Grand Rapids Junior College; Western Michigan University (B.Mus. 1983) and the University of Wisconsin/Milwaukee for a year of grad school. Other Information:
I make my living as a legal secretary but in my heart I'm really still a "diva" (the operatic soprano kind!) I studied opera and classical music and made my living at it until my mid-30s, when I gained weight and became less marketable as a performer. I still sing (church choir section leader, symphony chorus, etc.) but not as much as I'd like to. One reason I want to dump 50 lbs. is to stop hiding behind my fat as an excuse for not being a more busy and successful performer.
