My Goals:
To be heart healthy, maintain a normal blood pressure, lower my cholesterol, and lower my weight 14 lbs.

My Program:
Journal the foods I eat, walk 2x per week,
Attend Silver Sneaker Class 1x pr week
Use a yoga DVD 2x per week,
Drink 6-8 glasses of water ea. day
Reasonably avoid fats and sugars

Personal Information:
Retired elementary school teacher from NE Ohio.

Other Information:
Have 2 lovely grandchildren that make my life happier.

Just wanted to check on all the Fabulous & fit 60+ Sparkers. How are you doing? Is the exercise getting any easier?

I am finally starting to get back to the gym this week. I think I've talked a friend from church to meet me there. We will see if she makes it, but at least it will motivate me to get there.

Stop by the team September forum so we have a chance to get to know you. We are all there to support and motivate each other.

Thanks so much for the spark goodie and the comment on my blog. I appreciate all the nice things you said -really!! I am not usually in a bad space, but this down mood seemed a little too down for me this time. I'll be getting out of it soon, I'm sure. I already feel better today. Thanks again.

I almost always feel like I am starting over. I don't like to exercise either, but once I push myself to get to the gym I seem to enjoy it. My biggest problem is that I don't have anyone to go with. It would be so much easier if I had an exercise buddy. I love SP, but I need someone physically here to motivate me. My other problem is I do not have a car, so it takes 3 times as long to get anywhere on public transportation.

While i was on vacation, I walked almost everyday with my niece. It was great. Now i am back home and haven't walked since I returned. Partly because it has been very hot and humid here. I keep telling myself I will get up early and go walk before the sun comes up. I will try again tomorrow.

I need to get this under control before i get back to work in 3 weeks.
