My Journey Towards "NEW AND IMPROVED"

I want to get healthy - STAY healthy, and teach others how to do the same. I no longer want to live in fear that my bad health habits will make me sick one day. I don't want to be in pain for the rest of my life. I am young, and want to look and feel young again! I want to LOVE what I see when I look in the mirror!

My current goal is to get into a Zumba class. I hear it's such a fun way to work out and since I tend to get bored easily, Zumba might be just what I need. Plus, it ...

My biggest obstacle in this journey is ME. I have to practice some self-control and discipline. I have to make better decisions, and since I haven't been, I'm overweight. I'm making a vow to do better one day at a time.

My Goals:
I'd like to join a Zumba class.

I'd like to start cooking healthy foods, no fried foods and no processed foods.

I want to not be lazy. it's easy to drive to a fast food joint after a long, annoying day at work. But there is really no reward in doing that.

I want to change my scenery. I feel stuck on the same old workouts! I'm treadmilled out. I also like the idea of taking workout classes where there are a lot of people participating with me. Many friends and family members claim to want to lose weight. There's a difference between saying and doing. Only doing produces results. I'd like to get myself around other people who are serious about fitness. You are who you hang around!

My Program:
Working out everyday. Right now that consists of walking, and I do so about three times a week. I also do some weight training on the days I'm not walking. Nothing serious, just hand weights. I'm lucky to have parents that have an exercise room - so my workouts are free. There's no excuse for slacking, and even still, there are plenty of ways to workout without machines!

Other Information:
I'm excited about this journey, glad I discovered this website, and hope to be diligent enough to reach my goals. I have tried and failed soooo many times. I've reached a point where now I'm just tired. I am sick of being overweight, drained and in pain. I'm sick of sleep apnea. I'm sick of not looking as cute as I can be in my clothes, although I know that sounds hella vain. I don't care...I really need to change. Most of all, I want to live a long, healthy life and one day teach others how they can do the same!
