Welcome to Living Binge Free where we concentrate on developing a permanently sane relationship with food rather than just on weight loss. A person can lose weight in some very inflexible, unsustainable ways that promote fear of food, implying that it is more powerful than we are. She can have a honeymoon phase, thinking it's all done, and get KO'd when it's over, The odds are against beating your self into being satisfied with less food by forcing yourself to eat far fewer calories than you're used to. Better to take a year or two to feed ourselves reasonably and consistently with more and more quality food and less and less modern refined ones so that we can tolerate and weaken urges to binge, knowing we are not starving or punishing ourselves and don't need extra food. We learn to eat in moderate amounts any foods that continue to give us pleasure before, during, and after we eat them, some of them in very moderate frequency, and let drop the ones that don't.
