My journey to a new healthy life
Hi, im chelsea and im 21 years old. i have struggled with weight ever since i hit puberty, about 13, i was always a little "thicker" than most girls, but not way over weight or fat. i have been at about 167lbs (im 5'5) for the past 5 years, but within the past 1.5 years i have unknowingly put on 33 lbs. i am now 200 lbs and when i found that out i was mortified. i couldnt believe i let myself get that bad....i hate the way i look and none of my clothes fit me anymore (jeans at least) ...
Hi, im chelsea and im 21 years old. i have struggled with weight ever since i hit puberty, about 13, i was always a little "thicker" than most girls, but not way over weight or fat. i have been at about 167lbs (im 5'5) for the past 5 years, but within the past 1.5 years i have unknowingly put on 33 lbs. i am now 200 lbs and when i found that out i was mortified. i couldnt believe i let myself get that bad....i hate the way i look and none of my clothes fit me anymore (jeans at least) im ready to change and lose the weight! im not going to settle for just being 167 again, i want to challenge myself to have the hot bangin body ive always wanted. i know i can do it. i get frustrated sometimes and get off track, i do not want to do that this time.... i lose weight very easily, but gain it back just as easy. if anyone has any advice that has worked for them please let me know. im new here and i dont know anyone yet and i am trying to figure out how this site works. feel free to contact me anytime. THANKS! ---Chelsea UPDATE 6-5-12~ I did it! i am now officially thinner than i have been since i was in the 7th grade. =] i weighed myself today and i have lost 43 pounds. wow! it was hard at first but now its just part of my life style. im so used to it i dont even think of going back to the old habbits i used to have. for anyone that wants advice, you have a to hit a breaking point and for me that was the dr saying i was going to have diabetes in the next 3-5 years if i didnt lose weight and also my heart rate was very elevated for my age. once you decide you are going to do it, dont give up and no turning back. its a lifestyle change, not a diet. i started eating and am still eating 1200 calories a day. one day a week i allow myself to go a little over to like 1500 calories but you must be very strict with yourself and know exactly what is going into your body. no junk food, fried food, watch carbs, dont drink your calories. Exercise a couple times a week. weight will still come off if you dont exercise, but just be aware the more your exercise the faster it comes off. after you lose about 20-30 pounds like i did you will start losing weight slower, that means just be more active and exercise a little more and eat healthier, not less calories just healthier calories =] its so worth it i had failed a billion times on "diets" but now i found a solution that works. i still want to lose 25-30 more pounds, i know now i can do it! learn to love yourself and your body, just do it by leading a new healthier lifestyle =]
