Well Met Everyone! I am Christina, and I'm here to kick this into gear! I've been 60 lbs over weight for 4 years now, and I'm just about tired of jiggling. I'm 5'9 and 228 lbs. I want to shape up for my health, for more energy, self esteem.
I joined SP back in September, and stayed serious for about a week. :( I have decided that this is going to take some time and I can't just push hard and expect not to fall back. This is my unique journey and I will make it! If I fall off the wagon ...

I got a Wii Fit for Christmas! Lets see if this thing really is exercise!
Goals:
228-150lbs. The big one.
Short term: wanna lose 10lbs by my Bday (May 31)
Medium goal: Regular fitness at least 10 minutes a day within 6 months.

220lbs: Reebok Easy tone walking shoes

210lbs: New scrap booking stuff,stickers, ribbon and such...

200lbs: New jeans. 5 pair. Will need them by then, right?

190lbs: New Ipod/mp3 player.

160lbs (22yrs old weight): New sets of earings, stainless steel posts...not the cheapies I've been wearing!

150lbs (high school weight!): 5 new everyday outfits, 5 new pajama sets, 5 new bras, 2 new pair of shoes, and really expensive hairdo.

My Goals:
My over all goal is to get down to 150lbs. My short term goal is to lose 10lbs. by my birthday.

I want to take leadership classes to move up in my current job, or I have been thinking about going a new direction: nursing.



My Program:
I do all kinds of little things at home to keep myself moving. Have you ever marched in place or danced while you cooked dinner? Jump rope while washing clothes?

I am eating healthier, reducing sweets and bad carbs. Adding more servings of fruit and veggies.

I get at least 10-30 mins of cardio everyday.

I have started strength training everyday. 4-6 different exercises focusing one one part each day,( upper, lower and core), and rotating all week. It only takes 10-15 minutes a day! Using SparkPeople's Videos really helps keep focused.

Personal Information:
I feel that energetic person inside wanting to burst out. I just have to peal off this layer of me that isn't real.



Other Information:
I love tear jerking movies, horror and science fiction. I enjoy reading, hiking, being outside and long drives. I love babies and flowers and being alive.

I love your comment about marching in place while you cook dinner. I've been doing that too (and while I brush my teeth, wash dishes, work at the computer, etc). I figure every step I take is a step closer to my goal. I'm glad to know that i'm not the only one!

Hey there how are you ? Your question about strength training. I am currently using The 30 Day Shreds by Jillian Michael and it is great. Working in weights with cardo. I have recently started to strength train at the gym as well on the machines. I stared out slowly and increase slowly. Think of different ways you can strength on your own. If you came up with the move you are more likely to continue it. Thanks for you comments on my page and have a great day. Feel free to ask any questions. emoticon
